This is probably the most special blog post I have made and possibly ever will make. To understand the true meaning behind that would take much longer than what I could explain in a blog post. I will say that my grandfather is one of the most important people in my life. He was a pastor in Washington DC for over 50 years. As a pastor I remember him building (at the time) this big church in Northeast Washington DC in the late 70′s. I remember because he had me right beside him when they did the ribbon cutting. He has always been a role model to me and to this day remains one of the most humble people that I know walking the face of the earth. When my grandmother passed away a few years ago it was amazing to see his strength after loosing someone he has been with for over 50 years.
My grandfather is 90 years old now and I must say he still gets around pretty good! This past Sunday, he had a chance to see and hold Clark (his great-grandson) for the first time. It was at that moment that I said, “I have to capture this with my camera”. So today I brought him over to my house and we took some photos. These photographs will remain a treasured possession.
